Drug Charges Reduced; No Jail.

Superior Court (NH). In this Porstmouth case, a confidential informant working with the police helped narcotics agents set up an undercover sale of cocaine to our client. The client, who was the target of this investigation, was arrested at the Portsmouth traffic circle by state and federal narcotics agents during the alleged transaction. The investigation covered two states -- the police alleged that the client had traveled to Portsmouth to purchase cocaine, which was supposed to be taken to Maine and then sold.
Richard Samdperil successfully convinced the State to dismiss a charge related to the alleged drug purchase, and the client pled to a lesser charge and served no jail sentence. A careful review of the police reports and evidence helped lead to this very favorable result, which is not typical for cases involving multiple states and law enforcement agencies.
